Jenni Funk (owner & cake designer) assembling and adding the final touches to her own original "royal mad-hatter" designed wedding cake on April 21 2007. It is a special design that is custom created by her and her husband.

It all started that Christmas when she received that gold Easy Bake oven at the age of five. Stirring and baking and decorating those little cakes to watch the delight in her parents eyes.

At eighteen the opportunity to become a baker for "Spill the Beans" in Fort Langley developed her true passion for baking. She became the head baker after five years and decided to make it her career. While working she trained professionally at Vancouver Community College in the Baking and Patisserie program, graduating at the top of her class. She is now a full time certified baker and cake decorator at a retail outlet.

The most rewarding work she gets to do is work from home, making wedding and specialty cakes for Sweet Retreat. Jenni strives on perfection and uses only the highest quality of ingredients. She believes that everything about you cake is important, and carefully limits the number of commitments she accepts.
